Call to Prayer Transmitter Frequency Change – Important Notice
Effective Date: 24 January 2026 after Esha Salaah (6:30 PM)
The call to prayer transmitter frequency will be changing. All listeners using radios to receive the call to prayer must update their radio settings to continue receiving the broadcast.
Frequency Change Details

Old frequency: 454.775 MHz

New frequency: 454.255 MHz

Change takes effect: 24 January 2026 after Esha Salaah (6:30 PM)
After this date, radios that have not been updated will no longer receive the Adhan, bayaans or any annoucements.
What You Need to Do
Please ensure your radio is reprogrammed to the new frequency just after 24 January 2026 after Esha Salaah (6:30 PM).
Important: Madina Mosque Trust will not be offering radio reprogramming support. Users are responsible for arranging any required changes.
How to Change the Frequency (General Guidance)
Radios with a Screen and Keypad

Turn the radio on

Enter Menu or Settings

Select Channel or Frequency Settings

Replace 454.775 MHz with 454.255 MHz

Save the changes and exit
Radios Using Channel Numbers (CH1, CH2, etc.)

Change channels until you receive our transmission when we are live. If you do not, then you will need to purchase a new radio receiver.
Simple or Pre-Programmed Radios

These radios cannot be updated manually. You will need to puchase a new radio receiver

In some cases, reprogramming may be carried out by a qualified radio technician
When Should You Update?
We recommend purhasing your radio as soon as possible and no later than 24 January 2026, to avoid disruption. Switch over on the 24th After Esha Salaah
